Wedding highlights

For their August wedding at Cliveden House, Di and Chen wanted flowers that felt unapologetically romantic — soft pastel tones, beautiful roses and an abundance of flowers against one of England’s most iconic country-house settings.

Their ceremony took place on the terrace, where we created a full floral moongate to frame the couple against Cliveden’s magnificent backdrop. A meadow of flowers ran along the aisle, giving the ceremony a wonderfully natural, almost garden-grown feel while still creating the sense of occasion the setting deserves.

Di carried an all-flower bouquet filled predominantly with roses, echoing the palette used throughout the wedding. We wrapped the handle in leftover fabric from her dress — a small detail, but one we love, as it allows the bouquet to blend seamlessly against the gown rather than introducing another colour or texture.

For the reception in the Salon at Cliveden House, the flowers became richer and more opulent. Full floral meadows ran from end to end along the tables, layered with gold candelabra and elegant long-burning dinner candles. At Di and Chen’s request, touches of red were introduced into the reception flowers to honour their cultural traditions, sitting beautifully amongst the softer pastel palette.

Di and Chen had a clear idea of the atmosphere they wanted to create and trusted us to interpret it through the flowers. They particularly loved the roses we selected, and the result was a romantic, flower-filled Cliveden House wedding that felt both personal and completely at home within its surroundings.
