Wedding highlights
One wedding. Three days. Three completely different worlds.
Madison and James wanted their wedding weekend to feel like a celebration from the moment their guests arrived, with each event having its own personality, palette and floral identity.
It began with Bride versus Groom polo at Kirtlington Park Polo Club. Guests arrived dressed in cream and the flowers took their cue from classic equestrian style — relaxed, polished and distinctly Ralph Lauren-inspired. Green, white and blue hydrangeas filled generous basket arrangements, while tall silver birch trees rose from basketware underplanted with more hydrangea.
At the marquee entrance, we created a statement floral arch using baskets overflowing with flowers, with smaller floral vignettes continuing the look around the horsebox bar and ice-cream van. It felt elegant but effortless, and completely at home beside the polo field.
For night two, everything changed.
Their Sushi Fight Night was bold, playful and theatrical. We switched to vibrant reds and fuchsia pinks, creating Asian-inspired floral designs beneath suspended silk Japanese lanterns. And because this was never going to be an ordinary party, we even created floral sushi — one of those wonderfully unexpected details that guests still remembered afterwards.
Then came the wedding day itself.
For the final celebration in the magnificent Long Library at Blenheim Palace, the mood softened completely. Against one of the Palace’s most impressive historic interiors, we created an English garden-inspired palette of crisp greens, whites and warm latte shades.
After two days of bold visual statements, the wedding flowers felt deliberately romantic and refined — abundant and luxurious, but with the looseness and movement of an English garden.
Designing flowers for a three-day wedding like Madison and James’s is about much more than changing the colour palette. Each event needs its own atmosphere and identity while still feeling part of the same celebration. From equestrian elegance and a riotous Japanese-inspired party to a romantic Blenheim Palace wedding, this was a weekend that allowed us to have enormous fun with floral design.
