Wedding highlights

Some couples stay with you long after the last flower has been cleared away, and Nicola and Roland are very much one of those.

Nicola first came to see us with her mum and there was an instant connection. Her mum wanted her to have the most beautiful wedding imaginable, and it was clear from the beginning that the flowers were going to be an important part of creating that day.

Nicola and Roland were married in the Marlborough Room at Blenheim Palace, an wonderfully atmospheric space with a dramatic double-vaulted ceiling, chandeliers and grand fireplace. From there, guests moved to the light and elegant Orangery for the reception, with its terrace and views towards Blenheim’s Italian Gardens. Blenheim Palace

Nicola’s bouquet was quite simply scented heaven. Lily of the valley, delicate roses, sweet peas and stephanotis came together in a beautifully detailed bouquet filled with fragrance. Romantic and refined rather than oversized, every flower was chosen as much for its scent and character as its appearance.

For the reception, we kept the flowers fresh and summery with an abundance of white and green seasonal flowers, introducing Boston fern plants amongst the table designs. The combination felt relaxed and garden-inspired while still having the generosity and sense of occasion that a Blenheim Palace wedding deserves.

We loved Nicola and Roland from the very beginning. Being trusted with something that mattered so much to Nicola and her mum made creating their flowers especially lovely, and seeing the whole design come together on the day was incredibly rewarding.
